He has presided over or participated in the National Magnesium Alloy "863" Program, "973" Program, National "15th" and "11th" Five-Year Plan Science and Technology Programs, local government and enterprise science and technology programs, Guangdong Province's "Magnesium-Aluminum Alloy Industry-University-Research Alliance", and research and development projects of domestic and foreign enterprises.

The director of the Intelligent Transmission Engineering Technology Research Center at Southwest University focuses on innovative research in the field of intelligent transmission. His developed "Intelligent Balance Adaptive Automatic Transmission Control System" (AAT) automatically adjusts vehicle speed by sensing road conditions. This system simulates human decision-making mechanisms, sensing parameters such as vehicle load and road gradient in real time to achieve fully automatic gear shifting. This technology has been successfully applied to two-wheeled, three-wheeled, and four-wheeled vehicles, significantly improving energy efficiency. It has achieved industrial applications in electric motorcycles and automobiles. His developed electric motorcycles are capable of climbing 45-degree slopes, and he has accumulated 152 patents.
