Surface treatment
Customized surface solutions based on the properties of magnesium alloys meet diverse needs ranging from industrial protection to aesthetic decoration.

Meigu International regards surface treatment as a key link in realizing the value of magnesium alloy die castings. By integrating a series of advanced technologies, we provide comprehensive surface solutions for your products, ranging from basic corrosion protection to high-end functionalization.

We are equipped with precise automated passivation production lines based on the mature thin-film protection theory. Through controlled chemical reactions, an ultra-thin, dense and strongly adhesive passivation film is formed in-situ on the surface of magnesium alloy. This protective layer, mainly composed of oxides, can effectively isolate the magnesium alloy substrate from external corrosive media, significantly improving the corrosion resistance of products and laying a solid foundation for subsequent coating or long-term use.

Building upon this foundation, we also offer the advanced fifth-generation Micro-Arc Oxidation (MAO) surface treatment technology. This process utilizes high-voltage discharge to *in situ* grow a ceramic-like oxide layer directly onto the workpiece surface. This not only significantly enhances the wear and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys but also endows them with excellent insulating properties and thermal stability—making the technology particularly well-suited for sectors with stringent reliability requirements, such as aerospace, high-end electronics, and the defense industry.

Meanwhile, our eco-friendly electrophoretic coating production line can provide a uniform, aesthetic and highly adhesive organic coating on the passivation layer. This coating further improves corrosion resistance and weatherability, and offers a variety of color and gloss options according to customer needs, combining both protective and decorative functions.

We are committed to deeply integrating materials science, process innovation and customer needs. Whether it is basic anti-corrosion passivation, functional-enhanced micro-arc oxidation, or eco-friendly coating with aesthetic appeal, Meigu International can provide customized surface treatment solutions to ensure that your magnesium alloy products perform excellently and remain durable in various application scenarios.
